Independent Living Program Goal
Empower persons with disabilities to make choices in their lives that will enhance their dignity and self-respect and provide full integration into the community.
A return to work sure feels good! One year ago, joyful and productive independent living seemed very remote, as I was very sick, and had legs paralyzed by a spinal tumor. A tough fight, but tiny steady gains did the job, and got me to where Aloha Independent Living Hawaii could help me the rest of the way back to a full life. I was not doing nearly so well in captivity!
