Mayor Billy Kenoi asked the Hawaiʻi County Departments to do a special project to help Hawaiʻi Island non-profit organizations – and the Planning Department chose to do a cookbook project to benefit the Hawaiʻi Island United Way.

The cookbook features 84 pages of recipes for ʻono local style
