Mission Statement
The Bridge House mission is to assist adults in early recovery from drug and alcohol addiction to develop successful living skills through residential and vocational experiences in a safe, structured and supportive environment.
Vocational Skills Building Program Goal

Prepare individuals to enter/re-enter the workforce by ensuring that
all graduating residents are prepared for employment or in a job training program prior to discharge. The Vocational Skills Building Program utilizes a holistic approach toward the substance abuse recovery process and recognizes the importance of assisting individuals to
regain their place as responsible, productive citizens within our community.

“Pete” was an ice user and dealer who had hit bottom, yet had no clue how to reconstruct his life. Pete’s participation in his substance abuse treatment program along with the structure and support of the Vocational Skills Building program enabled him to address his criminal thinking and behaviors. It was clear that he was bright and had excellent people and entrepreneurial skills, and Pete was able to obtain employment in a nationally recognized business with a location in Kona. After about six months he was promoted to department supervisor, and is in line for further growth with the company. He is very active in the recovery community as a sponsor to others in early recovery, and has almost 3 years ‘clean’ time.
