Mission Statement
To help sexually, physically, emotionally, abused and neglected children. We do this in partnership with the Children’s Justice Center of East Hawaii, by providing funds and resources to support the needs of these children. The Friends offer hope, encouragement, and opportunity for victims of child abuse.
Emergency and Special Needs Program Goal
Decrease family stress, improve the overall health and well-being of abused and neglected children, and provide funds which will meet their emergency and special needs.
A sibling group of five children are identified victims of threatened abuse and neglect. The family is homeless. Both parents are unemployed. A request was made to purchase sleeping bags, a tent, a large tarp, and hygiene products such as diapers, soap, shampoo, female pads, etc. Funds helped to decrease family stress and increase the physical health of all children.
