The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii’s mission is to achieve fairness and justice through legal advocacy, outreach, and education for those in need.
Domestic Violence Program Goal
Solve legal problems of victims of domestic violence and promote safety and stability of victims and their families.
After being beaten by her husband in front of their young daughter and the child’s life during the episode, Legal Aid helped the client get a Protective Order against her husband. Legal Aid then assisted the client with divorce where was awarded sole legal and physical custody of the child.
