For the past 57 years, Hawaiʻi Island United Way has been committed to advancing the common good of all by focusing on community strengthening and transformation in the areas of education, financial stability, and health. We work collectively with our partner agencies to effectuate positive change in our Big Island communities. Organizations interested in applying for this grant must be certified under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue code. In addition, agencies must review and meet the HIUW Investment Criteria; Criteria & Policy on Collaborating Agencies. Health and Human service programs must demonstrate criteria need in the areas of Education, Health and Income to be considered for this "Community Impact Grant" funding cycle.
